OVER 80 YEARS AND COUNTING…
Rye Pack 2 has been serving the youth and community of Rye, New York for over 80 years and is one of the largest Cub Scout Packs in Westchester and Putnam Counties. Boys and girls in grades K–5 can join anytime, though most sign up at the start of the school year.

MEETINGS & STRUCTURE

  • Pack Meetings (once a month) – Led by our Cubmaster, these gatherings feature fun, educational activities, guest speakers, and occasional community service projects.

  • Den Meetings (1–2 times a month) – Smaller groups of Scouts in the same grade, led by parent Den Leaders. These meetings mix hands-on activities with earning awards that help Scouts advance in rank.

We don’t track attendance — we know families are busy — but, as with most things in life, the more you put in, the more you get out!

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
Throughout the year, we offer unique, family-friendly events that are educational, character-building, and — most importantly — fun! Examples include:

  • Family Campouts within 15–45 minutes of Rye

  • The Thunderbird Games where Cubs can participate in over 40 fun outdoor games (Watch this Video!)

  • Army Football’s Scout Day at West Point

  • Cubmobile Races (soap box derby style)

  • The world-famous Pinewood Derby

  • Tours of the Rye Fire House

  • Overnight stays on naval ships (USS Intrepid or USS Massachusetts) or on a square-rigger at Mystic Seaport

  • Model rocketry on the Rye Rec fields

  • Marching in Rye’s Memorial Day Parade

OUR VALUES & COMMUNITY
Christ’s Church is our chartering organization and provides us with meeting space, but Rye Pack 2 warmly welcomes families of all faiths.

We keep costs low so Scouting is accessible to all. Annual dues are $90, with reasonable fees for optional weekend activities. Financial assistance is available — simply email membership@ryepack2.com.
